Libreville Airport achieves the ACI Airport Health Accreditation (AHA)

International Airport Leon Mba Of Libreville is the first airport in Central Africa to obtain ACI’s Airport Health Accreditation (AHA).

To face the Covid-19 pandemic and support the resumption of air traffic in strict compliance with barrier measures, Libreville Airport (ADL) has embarked on the AHA health certification process of the Airports Council International (ACI).

This accreditation program was launched in July 2020 to assess the health measures implemented in airports in accordance with international recommendations defined by ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) and EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency). This certification aims to reassure passengers, employees and partners by ensuring their health safety through facilities and a rigorous protocol.

These practices concern in particular the disinfection of the terminal, physical distancing, communication on barrier gestures and the protection of passengers and staff throughout the passenger journey.

This process has started in November 2020 with an assessment questionnaire, transmission of evidence, discussions with experts and has been completed by more than one month of verifications. This accreditation, valid for the next 12 months, confirms that the airport experience offered to passengers is safe and meets international requirements.

ADL is very proud to be the first airport in Central Africa to receive AHA accreditation and would like to thank all the partners who have worked alongside it to achieve this.
