On 18 May 2024 in Libreville, the Managing Director of Libreville Airport, Igor Simard, and the special delegate in charge of the Libreville municipality, General Judes Ibrahim Rapontchombo, signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at making the area around Libreville airport safer. The aim is to involve all parties in improving the management of obstacles around the airport.
The special delegate in charge of the Libreville municipality, Judes Ibrahim Rapontchombo, was joined at Libreville town hall by the managing director of GSEZ Airport, Igor Simard, the managing director of the Agence ationale des travaux topographiques et du cadastre (ANUTTC), Adelphe Gildas Mikoto, and the special delegate in charge of the Akanda municipality, Jean-Claude Sipamio-Berre. A memorandum of understanding was signed. It will enable synergy between these different bodies through coordinated decision-making and information on the risks associated with activities and buildings in the immediate vicinity of Libreville airport.
